Executive Team

Dawn Holden Woods, CEO 

Dawn succeeded Mike Vogel as CEO in November 2017. Formerly the CFO of Turning Points for Children, Dawn led the CUA application and implementation process and was responsible for all financial functions of the organizations. Prior to this role, Dawn was the Chief Administrative Officer of Children’s Aid Society of PA 2003 to 2008. Prior to her work with Turning Points, Dawn served as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and as a corporate consultant for PECO Energy. Dawn is a licensed CPA and has been the recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Nonprofit CFO’s and 40 ­Under ­40 awards.

David Fair, Deputy CEO

David is a leadership officer with expertise in strategy, corporate and foundation relations and executive management and nonprofit leadership for several government entities in greater Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. David has held the position of Vice President of the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and served as Deputy Managing Director, City of Philadelphia prior to joining Turning Points. 

Brenda Rich, Director of Training

A seasoned Licensed Social Worker with close to 40 years of experience in child welfare services, Brenda started her social work career with the Inter­Church Child Care Society. Her expertise in social services, trauma awareness, and kinship care has earned Brenda the position in the agency’s leadership team and as the Turning Points’ staff training Facilitator.    

Cydney Dasent, Director of CUA Operations

Cydney has more than 10 years management experience in human services including work in behavioral health, education and child welfare. She currently oversees operations of CUAs 9 & 10 covering West and Southwest Philadelphia. She is a Philadelphia native with Master's degrees from both Temple and St. Joseph's University.  

Eartha Holland, Director of Development

Eartha Holland brings to the Turning Points for Children team more than 20 years of sales and development experience. Eartha left a successful career in the casino industry working with high net worth clients, where she was recognized as the company's top producer for a record ten years. She was nominated for the Carl Icahn Community Service Award and received the Carl Icahn Best Team & Best Team Leader Award during her tenure. Eartha has a wealth of experience in relationship building, special events and raising funds for local, national and global projects.

Louis GrowMiller, Sr. Director of Foster Care & Program Services 

Louis is a Licensed Social Worker with nearly two decades of experience working in child welfare.  He has been employed with Turning Points for Children since 2009 and currently oversees the program directors of our Foster Care program and non-CUA related programs.  Louis completed the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities’ Executive Leadership Institute program in 2016 and the United Way’s Emerging Leaders program in 2011.  He is also a previous foster parent.

Michael W. Ogden, Program Director of The Bridge

Michael Ogden is the Program Director of The Bridge which is a Philadelphia residential facility for adolescents. He has been a team member of Public Health Management Corporation since February 2007 and the Bridge became an affiliate of Turning Points for Children in 2015.  He oversees the following programs: The Bridge, The Villa, E-3 Center West, the Bridge Outpatient Program and the new Bridge Intensive Prevention Services. He holds a BA in Psychology from Saint Leo University, Tampa, Florida and a Master Degree in Public Health from the Drexel University School of Public Health.  

Michelle Burnett-Green, Chief Financial Officer

Michelle Burnett-Green is the Chief Financial Officer and oversees the fiscal operation of the organization and its affiliates.  With 25 years of non-profit financial, administrative and operations experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the organization.  During her career, she has worked with many non-profit and community based organizations throughout the United States, providing consulting and capacity building services in the areas of accounting, administration and board development.  She has been with Turning Points since 2014.
