Michael J. Vogel— Chief Executive Officer Mike Vogel joined the Philadelphia Society for Services to Children (PSSC) in June of 2000 as the Director of Operations and Programs. He was appointed Executive Director in 2004. With the merger to the Children’s Aid Society of Pennsylvania in 2008 to form Turning Points for Children, Mr. Vogel was appointed Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining the non-profit world, Mr. Vogel held numerous leadership positions during a twenty-year career with Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Vogel’s educational background includes a Masters Degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors Degree from Penn State University. In 2008, Mr. Vogel was appointed by Governor Rendell to the The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Committee. He lives in Chester County, Pennsylvania, with his wife Joann and two daughters, Katie and Natalie.
| Gail L. Ober, MSW, LSW — Chief Operating Officer Ms. Ober is the Chief Operating Officer of Turning Points for Children. She was previously the Executive Director of Children’s Aid Society of Pennsylvania, one of the merger partners of Turning Points for Children. She received her A.B. from Syracuse University, MSW from the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded a certificate from the Post Master’s Institute in Advanced Clinical Practice from the Institute of the Pennsylvania Society of Clinical Social Work. Ms. Ober is a Fellow in the Pennsylvania Society of Clinical Social Work, and a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Octavia Hill Association, an organization committed to providing affordable housing to low and moderate income families.
| Dawn A. Holden, CPA — Chief Financial Officer Dawn Holden graduated cum laude from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. During her senior year, she won a stipend from Lincoln University to perform community service in a rural village in Ghana, West Africa during the summer of 2000. Upon graduating, Dawn worked as an auditor for two years with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and worked as a corporate consultant for PECO Energy. In 2006, Dawn obtained her Certified Public Accountant license. In 2003, she joined Children’s Aid Society of PA as the Chief Administrative Officer and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Turning Points for Children. Also, Dawn currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Black Women’s Health Alliance.
