Announcement: Turning Points for Children CEO Transition

on 30 January 2017

By now you may know that Turning Points for Children is transitioning to a new leader as we prepare for my retirement in  December 2017. Please join me and our Board of Directors in welcoming Dawn Holden Woods, Turning Points’ Chief Financial Officer, as my successor.

Together, Dawn and I have been working with our parent organization Public Health Management Corporation (PHMC) and the Turning Points Board of Directors on a seamless succession plan. This transition will have no impact on the day-to-day operations of our work.

Since 2008 Dawn has been my steadfast and committed partner in building our strategy and executing our mission. Turning Points has grown significantly over the past several years, in large part due to our work preventing child abuse through contracts with the City of Philadelphia as two Community Umbrella Agencies (CUAs). Dawn led our team through the CUA application and implementation process and is building a new program that will support youth aging out of foster care.

Turning Points is strong with Dawn’s leadership and vision, our highly skilled staff, and support from our affiliation with PHMC. We are one of the best family and children support organizations in the city; I am very proud of our achievements and comfortable with the leadership transition plan. I look forward to seeing continued success for Turning Points.

In the coming months you will see and hear more from Dawn, and I’m certain you’ll feel as confident and inspired as I do in our future leadership.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Turning Points for Children.

Sincerely,

Michael Vogel

Chief Executive Officer
